apotemnofilia is the desire to have one or more limbs amputated. A lot of associations exists with individuals who demand the medical right to amputation.
Sufference is so high, that they often cause gangrene or autoamputations.
I had co-written the first Italian thesis about it and I realized this work because thought that we may intervene to the Hippocratic Oath: you're free if you had the right to lose yours resources.
